sugar by the bushel

Me and my friend Danny took a short trip to the countryside this week so she could take some pictures for her website. I flexed my 'modelling' muscles and squinted and grimaced at the camera and stroked my face a lot. The evening was sadly cut short by a storm and very nosey dog walkers! Apparently it's not considered normal behaviour to strip and change clothing in a reed bush.

Now I'm going to go pretend im a teen again and listen to Nada Surf and Death cab and have feelings. Hope you all have a terrific weekend!

  3. Why would you want feelings? Or to be normal for that matter? :P Still the field looks beautiful, and so do you in it. I'm not sure that sentence makes any grammatical sense but oh well.

    1. Haha teen feelings are just like sooo deep man O_O I think it's safe to say my adult self now cares more about watching hollyoaks and dancing to simon and garfunkle than thinking 'deep' thoughts :D hehe.

    1. When i was wee i did dabble in a bit of modelling actully so that might be why?! But then they cut all my hair off and gave me a pixie cut and i didnt want to do it anymore. Cameras still make me a little uncomfortable though >_< i am more comfortable being behind the lense!

You toooo! It's supposed to be sunny for once :D xx

  6. The only thing more beautiful than the scenery in these photos is YOU. You complement each other perfectly, though. These are incredible. (I love your clothes! And psh, it's perfectly normal to strip in reed bushes. :P)

I know cameras make you want to run away, but that's a shame because cameras obviously LOVE you. I can't blame them. xxxx

    1. Ohh thank you so much! The scenery is beautiful isn't it! (though the pylons kind of spoil it a little O_O) Hahah my stripping in the reed bush was extremely unladylike of me! At one point i was stuck between dresses and stumbled around then fell over much to the amusement of the passers-by im sure hehehe.

Mmmmm i dont mind being in photos tooooo much, i wouldnt share half the photos of me being my natural self though cos im sure you would all recoil in horror! (plus some of them are of the naughty, half undressed kind). I sometimes feel ashamed cos i think that the person you see in these pictures is a much better version of the 'real' me >_< uhhh confusing but there it is. xxxx

    2. hehe, i feel the same way about photos of me. Unless you look on my facebook. where you wont find a single photo of me behaving normal. BUt thats because I behave normal of a very (very) rare basis. It's weird that no one would know that from my photos. But I only just started doing self portraits. So maybe once I'm more comfortable I'll get all crazy on yo asses. And I recommend you do the same

  7. Such pretty photos! Your dress is really lovely too. I do get annoyed by snoopy people whenever I take a photo in a public place, they act like it's such a shocking thing haha x

    1. Fankkk you so much! Ohh the dress i managed to snag for a fiver from a vintage fair! I dont wear it nearly often enough and it mostly spends its days hanging from my wall :( i am an unfit mother to my vintage dresses.

Uhhh yes booo the snoops! Also there was a fair few lone creepers with no dogs at all just wandering around O_O they were the worst! xxx

    1. Noooo crazy lady! England insists on keeping my hair frizzed and my feet wet with its surplus of storms! I can only imagine the dreamy canadian summer days you are having :( Hehehe you are a lightning watching weirdo (can only imagine you standing outside watching it with a creepy grin on your face like this >> :D) Uhhhh lighting is tough word to spell O_O i had to google it- my brain is becoming farrr tooo dependant on the internet and it's ability to guess which word i am trying to poorly spell :D

Haha if you click the 'fat bagpuss' label it takes you to pretty much ALL my posts! (Another good label from my brain is 'pie is nice to eat') i am a fat bagpuss with a small flat bum!! Yayyy! xxxxxxxx

    2. I REMEMBER WHAT I WANTED TO SAY TO YOU! I was in such a rush writing these that I forgot. I still listen to Nada Surf! They are still relevant and making new tunes ;) I was supposed to see them live but got sick and missed the show, boohoo. The new song "When I was Young" is quite lovely, although the rest of the album is a bit of a disappointment!

Gimme your storms! It stormed yesterday and I was quite thrilled!!!! hehe
